The
earthsafe solar electric systems is designed to
provide an efficient and convenient source of environmentally
safe power for residential and commercial users. It is designed
to be a supplemental source of power that produces electricity
matched to that of the local utility power in voltage, frequency
and phase.
The earthsafe system will reduce the customer's
use of utility power by producing electricity to help meet the
requirements of a home or commercial enterprise. In many locations,
consumers are allowed to "net meter", that is, if
they produce more power than they need, their meter is allowed
to run backwards and the extra power is fed back to the utility
which purchases it.
Each earthsafe kit consists of Siemens SP-75 solar
modules, a universal roof mounting kit, an AC/DC inverter and
interconnect hardware. The universal mounting kit is manufactured
from stainless steel and aluminum hardware and can be used on
shingle, tile or flat roofs. The inverter converts DC to high
quality AC power. Disconnect switches and ground fault protection
are included in the package.
Power is available at 120 and 240 VAC and about 12 square foot
of roof space is needed for every 100 watts of AC power. Note,
the amount of power indicated in the table below assumes bright
sunlight conditions and will vary depending on location and
weather conditions.
