Vehicle data recordings made with the Scan Tool are saved in the recorded file database. The vehicle information entered for the vehicle is saved with the recording. A search engine is provided so that you can quickly find the recording you are looking for. Notes can be added to each recording allowing you to keep a record of each vehicle's repairs and an archive of common and unusual problems you have encountered with notes about how the problem was fixed. You can use these notes and recordings as reference the next time a vehicle comes into your shop with a similar problem. Saved recordings can be played back in the Scan Tool software, exported as text (ASCII) files or as EASE Scan Tool recordings so that you can share your recordings with other users of our Scan Tool. You can also import and playback saved recordings.
