The Hand Held QuickCode is a standalone professional unit that retrieves and clears all stored and pending generic and manufacturer specific* Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) for OBDII compliant vehicles. It also retrieves and clears the current Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) status and the Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) readiness monitor status. VIN retrieval is also supported on 2002 and newer vehicles that support Mode 9 VIN data.

The Hand Held QuikCode connects to the vehicle's DLC port via a diagnostic cable (included). DTCs are displayed on a backlit LCD display. Users are prompted via the LCD screen allowing them to request and run various diagnostic tests. Simple two-button operation lets users SELECT the desired test and then SCROLL through the results. 

The QuickCode has a unique emissions mode that gives a quick overview of a vehicle's readiness to pass an emissions test.

It supports all 1996 and newer Domestic, Asian and European OBDII compliant vehicles that support OBDII communication interfaces SAE J1850 (VPW, PWM), ISO 9141-2 (ISO), ISO 14230 (KWP200) and ISO 15765/SAE J2284 (CAN). It comes with a User Manual that lists over 5,000 OBD II Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs) descriptions. 

The QuikCode can now be updated using a PC to allow for easier and faster updates.
